Dalsa Wins Contract for Dental X-Ray Gear

Dalsa Corp., a semiconductor and electronics company based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, has received a contract to develop custom CCD image sensor chips for an Asian manufacturer of dental x-ray equipment. The sensors will be used in a cephalometric imaging system for panoramic dental x-rays. They will aid in orthodontic and dental diagnosis and treatment by providing more detail and higher contrast with lower doses of radiation. The contract, worth CAD $3.6 million, is expected to be completed over the next two years.Read full article
