Technology stocks propelled Nasdaq gains for the first time since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. By midday, the Nasdaq gained 71.23, or 5 percent, to 1,494.42 and the Dow Jones industrial average was up 319.96, or 4 percent, to 8,555.77. Last week Nasdaq lost 16.1 percent and the Dow dropped 14.3 percent. Now that stock prices have come down significantly, analysts are saying its time for some bargain hunting. Barron's said last week's sell-off was likely to be a good opportunity for investors.
