Cornell Funds Nanoscience Projects

ITHACA, N.Y., April 12, 2010 — The Kavli Institute at Cornell for Nanoscale Science has named Paul McEuen, the Goldwin Smith Professor of Physics, as the director, while David A. Muller, associate professor of applied and engineering physics, will serve as co-director. According to the school, this push will help to evolve the school from a think tank to a proving ground for nanosciences.     An SI prefix meaning one billionth (10-9). Nano can also be used to indicate the study of atoms, molecules and other structures and particles on the nanometer scale.
