Consortium Awards Contract for OLEDs

The US Display Consortium, a San Jose, Calif., public/private partnership for developing the flat panel display infrastructure, and Plextronics Inc., a Pittsburgh developer of organic electronic devices, have signed a two-phase $1.8 million contract to further the commercialization of organic LEDs (OLEDs). For the first phase, the companies will share the $675,000 cost to advance the Plexcore hole injection layer technology.
