Chameleon Laser

A hands-free, single-box, ultrafast Ti:sapphire laser from Coherent Inc. in Santa Clara, Calif., the Chameleon provides femtosecond-pulse tuning from 720 to greater than 930 nm. Developed primarily for multiphoton excitation microscopy, this flexible laser oscillator also can be used for a wide range of ultrafast research applications, including time-resolved photoluminescence, nonlinear spectroscopy, fluorescence upconversion and quantum chemistry. It can excite fluorescent media such as green and yellow fluorescent proteins. Besides tuning over a range of more than 210 nm, the fully...Read full article

    ti:sapphire laser
A Ti:sapphire laser is a type of solid-state laser that utilizes a titanium-doped sapphire crystal as the gain medium. The name Ti:sapphire comes from the combination of titanium (Ti) as the dopant and sapphire (Al2O3) as the host material. Ti:sapphire laser suppliers → This type of laser is known for its tunability across a broad range of wavelengths in the visible and near-infrared spectrum, typically from around 680 nanometers (deep red) to 1100 nanometers (near-infrared)....
