Cameras with Facial Recognition Detect Driver Impairment

In 2021, 13,348 deaths occurred on U.S. roadways due to drunk driving — an increase of 14% compared to the previous year, according to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The NHTSA also estimates that, on average, 37 people die every day due to drunk driving.
