Bruker Corp. has become the majority investor in MIRO Analytical AG, a provider of quantum cascade laser (QCL)-based multigas analyzers for simultaneous, high-precision monitoring of up to 10 trace gases. The Swiss startup company’s products complement Bruker Optics’ gas-analysis spectroscopy portfolio, including Bruker’s OMEGA and Matrix MG spectroscopic gas analyzers, Bruker said. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. MIRO Analytical’s compact MGA10 instruments offer fast, high-precision measurements of up to 10 trace gases simultaneously. Its customers include leading climate scientists from research institutes such as German Space Agency, Research Center Jülich, and French INRAE, with MGAs deployed in mobile labs in aircrafts or vehicles, in remote research stations, and for laboratory experiments. The move was Bruker’s fourth acquisition in the last year. Since April 2022, Bruker has acquired PhenomeX; Zontal; ACQUIFER Imaging; Neurescence; Inscopix; and Optimal Industrial Automation and Technologies.
