Brookhaven Applies for Nonprovisional Patent

A physicist at the US Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, N.Y., has developed a simpler, less-expensive gantry design for delivering tumor-killing particle beams. The company that manages the lab for the energy department, Brookhaven Science Associates, has applied for a US nonprovisional patent on the design, which is now available for licensing and commercial development.Read full article
