Ophthalmology technology developer Iridex Corp. has appointed Atabak Mokari as its chief financial officer and vice president of corporate development. Mokari brings 18 years of finance and strategy experience in the medical technology industry. Prior to joining Iridex, he was a senior investment banker at Wells Fargo Securities LLC, UBS AG and Credit Suisse Group. Mokari also held positions at Olympus Partners and Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology from Duke University and his MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Iridex develops laser-based medical systems, delivery devices and consumable instrumentation for the ophthalmology market.
