An astronomer’s startling discovery … at the bottom of a cider can

In September 2020, David Campbell, principal technical officer of astronomy at the University of Hertfordshire in England, found a discarded Kopparberg cider can atop one of the telescopes at the university’s Bayfordbury Observatory. It could have been an innocuous, if oddly placed, piece of pollution.
