ABB Robotics AB, a Swedish supplier of robots for factory automation, has agreed to purchase nearly $1 million worth of Cognex Corp.'s machine vision systems over the next two years. ABB will integrate the vision systems in a line of "pick and place" robots designed for light industrial applications such as food processing and pharmaceutical packaging.
