Coherent Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., a photonics-based solutions provider, has acquired the North American operations of StockerYale Inc. for $15 million in cash. Coherent has acquired all of the latter’s assets and certain operating liabilities of the laser module product line in Montreal and of the specialty fiber product line in Salem, N.H.
