RESTON, Va., August 1 -- Raytheon Co. has been awarded a contract from Harris Corp. to provide installation and integration services to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under its recently awarded FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) contract. The potential value to Raytheon of the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity subcontract is approximately $97 million, including options.
The FTI program will modernize the FAA's telecommunications infrastructure -- which will offer a wide range of voice, data and video telecommunications services to support critical air traffic control requirements at more than 5,000 FAA facilities throughout the US.
Raytheon Technical Services Co. (RTSC) will provide management support, engineering support and field technical services for installation, testing and maintenance of equipment at FAA facilities. RTSC will also conduct site surveys, perform site design and implement, verify and maintain equipment.
