A US defense contractor has awarded to Quintessence Photonics Corp., based in Sylmar, Calif., a contract for delivery and performance testing of BrightLase semiconductor lasers. The lasers feature high-brightness operation and internal Bragg gratings. The contract is associated with an undisclosed defense application.
