Photonic Component Group, a division of Power Technology Inc. of Little Rock, Ark., has been named a reseller of Opnext Inc. products powered by Hitachi laser diodes. Opnext, of Eatontown, N.J., is the former laser diode and photonics division of Tokyo-based Hitachi. It offers laser diodes in the 635- to 852-nm range with output ranging from 3 to 120 mW. The appointment will extend the variety of Power Technology’s product offerings.
