Polaroid Corp. of Waltham, Mass., has sold its Commercial Optics Div. in Norwood, Mass., to Precision Optical Systems Inc. As part of the transaction, Polaroid will maintain a minority equity interest in the privately held Precision Optical, which will continue to produce lenses, mirrors and plastic optical components for other companies from the Norwood facility under a long-term lease with Polaroid.
