Pixelplus Co. Ltd. , a fabless semiconductor company in Korea that designs CMOS image sensors primarily for cell phone cameras, announced that it recently reorganized its new sales and marketing organization in Pixelplus Shanghai Co. Ltd. (PSL), the company's subsidiary in China. The company appointed a new head of sales and marketing at PSL and also hired two other senior sales and marketing personnel. Pixelplus CEO S.K. Lee said the changes were made in response to weaker-than-expected sales in the first half of 2006. The China region accounted for at least 50 percent of the company's revenues in 2005. Pixelplus also said it expects to hire a senior sales executive to lead US and European sales operations at Pixelplus Semiconductor Inc., its subsidiary in Silicon Valley, Calif.
