Physik Instrumente Expands to Benelux Region

Motion and positioning systems developer Physik Instrumente (PI) GmbH & Co. KG has created a subsidiary to serve Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

PI Benelux is led by founders Dick Moerman and Erik Keune, with Markus Spanner from the company's German headquarters as managing director.

The new office incorporates longtime Physik Instrumente distributor Applied Laser Technology BV (ALT). PI now operates offices or production facilities in 12 countries worldwide.

The company manufactures precision motion control equipment, piezo motors, air bearing stages and hexapod parallel kinematics for semiconductor, photonics, bio- and nanotechnology, and medical engineering applications.
