Photop Awarded Green Laser Diode Patent
Photop Technologies Inc., a Chinese maker of photonics products, announced it was issued a US patent (7,003,006) for a green diode laser (GDL) designed for OEM customers in industrial and consumer markets. Photop said the GDL is a compact DPSS continuous-wave 532-nm diode laser in a 10.5 x 15.5mm package that can be used in place of traditional red laser diodes. It said applications include laser module assembling, scanning, alignment and displays.
