Park Electrochemical Corp. of Melville, N.Y., announced the appointment of Martin Choate as its product director, responsible for managing a portion of the company's advanced composites materials from research and development through product commercialization. Choate joins Park after 26 years in the electronics and advanced substrate materials industry. Most recently, he was a senior business scientist for Ablestik Laboratories, a subsidiary of National Starch and Chemical Co., concentrating on thermoset underfill adhesion products. He also spent more than 12 years with Cytec-Fiberite as a senior product development chemist. Park Electrochemical Corp. manufactures high-technology digital and radio frequency/microwave printed circuit materials and advanced composite materials, principally for the telecommunications and internet infrastructure, high-end computing and aerospace markets.
