SAN FRANCISCO, July 11 -- PRI Automation Inc. has signed a deal with Zygo Corp. giving PRI the exclusive rights to sell Zygo's Guardian Reticle Transfer System to the semiconductor lithography market. Zygo will make the reticle transfer product to PRI's specifications and PRI will provide sales, marketing, and service support.
PRI is committed to providing our customers with complete solutions that improve the overall productivity of a fab, said Mitch Tyson, president and CEO of PRI Automation. Reticle management is key to this goal. PRI's new Guardian product family is the focal point of our lithography strategy, and this agreement with Zygo allows us to utilize their engineering and manufacturing resources and expertise to quickly add a reticle transfer product to the Guardian portfolio.
PRI has been supplying lithography automation solutions for almost 10 years and has an 85 percent market share of the worldwide lithography business, the company said. PRI also provides storage, delivery and software solutions for reticle automation management.
