The 7th International Conference on Photonics and Imaging in Biology and Medicine (PIBM 2008) will be held Nov. 24-27, 2008, at Wuhan Science & Technology Convention & Exhibition Center, Wuhan, China. PIBM, the largest series international biomedical photonics conference, is designed to bring scientists, engineers and clinical researchers together from a variety of disciplines engaged in applying optical science, photonics and imaging technologies to problems in biology and medicine. This year, PIBM will be combined with the first Photonics and Optoelectronic Meetings (POEM 2008) hosted by Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics. A call for papers has been issued with 200-word abstracts due by Sept. 10, and full manuscripts by Oct. 31. Papers can be submitted through the POEM submission system: www.wnlo.cn/poem/submission/
