ROCHESTER, NY, May 28 -- Optifab 2003, held last week at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, drew 1791 attendees, far exceeding the expected 1200. The show, which brought together exhibitors from the US, Europe and Japan, proved to be a popular showcase for machinery and equipment aimed at the optical manufacturing community.
Optifab's sponsor, SPIE, was so pleased by attendance and by exhibitors' reported enthusiasm that it said it would hold the show again in 2005.
Many exhibitors told Photonics.com that Optifab was in all respects a very good show. And the better-than-expected attendance figures indicate attendees felt the same way.
