a New View toward Biomedical Imaging
James G. Fujimoto Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
OCT is a promising and powerful medical imaging technique because it can permit the real-time, in-situ visualization of microstructures in tissue without the need for specimen excisions. The challenge of the future will be the vertical integration of basic research, engineering and clinical studies to realize the full potential of this technology and its impact on clinical medicine.
