Olympus Creates Life Science Group
Olympus America Inc. of Melville, N.Y., has combined its Scientific Equipment and Diagnostic Systems groups and Life Science Business Development unit to create a Life Science Group. The move is designed to align the company’s organization with that of other Olympus entities worldwide and to prepare the corporation for a growing emphasis on translational research and personalized medicine. Scientific Equipment markets microscopes, imaging systems and solutions for clinical and educational applications, while Diagnostic Systems is a supplier of chemistry analyzers for large reference labs.
