Ocean Optics to Host Customer Forum

DUNEDIN, Fla., March 15, 2007 -- Opportunities to work one-on-one with applications scientists and engineers and to "test drive" new products in field experiments will be highlights of Ocean Optics’ Customer Forum 2007, to be held April 23-25 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The forum, designed to promote a better understanding of miniature spectroscopy, will also include an optional preforum "boot camp" for those new to the industry.

The event will feature educational sessions and roundtable discussions on topics such as choosing a spectrometer to fit a given application, getting the most from Java-based spectrometer operating software and programming packages, spectrometer integration in analytical instruments, and business and research applications of in-situ and noninvasive optical sensor systems. Visitors will have daily access to technical experts in an on-site lab to learn how to best use Ocean Optics systems.

Attendees are encouraged to bring nonhazardous, application-specific samples. The company will also debut its newest field-portable technology, the Jaz family of smart-sensing Ethernet instruments.

For more information and to register, visit www.ooicustomerforum.com; e-mail: [email protected]; or call (727) 450-5335.
