Ocean Optics’ Founder Starts Up SpectrEcology
In Dunedin, Fla., Michael Morris, former president and CEO of Ocean Optics Inc., has founded SpectrEcology LLC, a business that will distribute Ocean Optics’ miniature spectrometers, fiber optics, chemical sensors and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy equipment throughout the US. The new unit will offer support and customized products, focusing on clients who need assistance with field science, in situ or environmental applications such as heavy metals detection, and oxygen and pH measurements.
