Obzerv Sells Surveillance System to French Army
Based in Quebec City, Obzerv Technologies Inc. will supply a laser-range-gated night-vision surveillance system under a contract from the French army’s Parisian Expertise Center. The ATV-2000i electro-optical device uses a Dalis diode array laser illumination system and range-gating camera to provide long-range night-vision functions in darkness and in degraded weather conditions. Suitable for security purposes, its real-time video images present a higher level of detail than technologies such as thermal imagers or passive intensified CCDs, the company says.
