OSRAM Acquires Stake in UVC LED Company Bolb
MUNICH, Feb. 23, 2021 — OSRAM’s investment in UVC LED company Bolb Inc. has led it to acquire around 20% of the Calif.-based company. Bolb’s UVC LED lighting technology enables water, air, and surfaces disinfection. Bolb’s LED technology is an alternative to many existing UVC/nonvisible-light disinfection applications that are based on lighting technologies such as mercury vapor lamps.
