OFC/NFOEC Call For Papers Deadline Oct. 5
The Optical Society of America (OSA) announced that Oct. 5 at noon is the deadline for submissions to the Optical Fiber Communication Conference & Exposition and the National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference (OFC/NFOEC), to be held March 25-29 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Ahaheim, Calif. OFC/NFOEC is dedicated to the research and development of optical fiber and communications technologies. Submissions should be motivated by practical concerns associated with the immediate needs of engineering and operating a network and deploying new services, OSA said. They should be technical in nature, with an emphasis on engineering performance characteristics; field trials of "beta" products and solutions; network installation and deployment of new services; management, operations, administration and maintenance implications, including testing methods; architecture and planning methodologies and guidelines; and standardization and interoperability.
