The tool from OptiPro Systems of Ontario, NY, enables curve generation of blanks to tight tolerances as well as generation of concave and convex aspheric blanks. The five-axis system manufactures complex nonstandard blank and window shapes and performs multistep deterministic grinding of spherical surfaces with precision edging and beveling.
