Nikon Metrology Europe Appoints President: People in the News: 2/26/25
LEUVEN, Belgium, Feb. 26, 2025 — Nikon Metrology Europe NV has appointed Aiden Kenny president, effective immediately. Having started his career in the semiconductor industry, Kenny has held executive leadership roles in several global companies, including a nearly 20 year stint at Nikon Precision Europe GmbH in engineering and business management.

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Power and sensing semiconductor solutions provider Allegro MicroSystems, Inc. has added Mike Doogue as president, CEO, and member of the board, succeeding Vineet Nargolwala. Doogue has spent the last 27 years at Allegro, originally as an engineer and business leader before his most recent roles as executive vice president and the company’s first CTO.

GOLETA, Calif. — Aeluma, Inc., a semiconductor company, has appointed Mike Byron to its board of directors. Byron most recently retired from the role of vice president of finance operations and systems at NVIDIA where he worked for the past 22 years. Prior to NVIDIA, he held finance and accounting roles at public technology companies and spent eight years as an auditor at Deloitte.
BARRINGTON, N.J. — Edmund Optics’ chairman of the board and CEO Marisa Edmund has been appointed to the board of trustees of the OPTICA Global Photonics Economic Forum, taking place Oct. 7-8, in Malaga, Spain. Edmund will serve as a keynote speaker at the event, joining speakers Stefan Träger of Jenoptik and Michael Kaschke of the Stifterverband for German Science.
NORTHBROOK, Ill. — IDEX Corporation has added Stephanie Disher and Matthijs Glastra to the company’s board of directors, increasing the board’s size from 10 to 12 directors. Disher, who is currently CEO of Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc., will serve on the board’s nominating and corporate governance committee, while Glastra, who is chair and CEO of Novanta Inc., will serve on the board’s audit committee.
ATHOL, Mass. — Manufacturer of precision measuring tools and gages L.S. Starrett Co. has appointed four executives to its global organization. Roger N. Amrol, Jr. succeeds Douglas A. Starrett as president and CEO and joins the organization following 12 years with Robert Bosch Tool Corporation North America where he held the same roles for approximately five years. Barry D. Laughlin will serve as COO after serving in the same position at Group DEKKO for nine years. Allen E. Look has been appointed as global chief information officer and brings over 25 years of information technology experience. Jon-Michael Raymond will serve as chief revenue officer and most recently acted as global sales and marketing senior vice president at FyterTech Nonwovens.
BILLERICA, Mass. — Bruker Corporation’s board of directors has appointed Laura Francis to serve on its board as an independent director. She is also expected to join Bruker’s audit committee as a financial expert after Bruker’s annual shareholder meeting at the end of May. Francis currently serves as CEO and board member of SI-BONE, Inc. where she previously acted as CFO and COO. Before joining SI-BONE, she held other executive and leadership roles with public and private life science companies, including Bruker Corporation.
