New Infrared Technologies Receives Spanish Academy Prize for Technological Innovation, Economic Contribution

MADRID, Dec. 14, 2016 — Spain’s Royal Academy of Engineering has awarded the annual Academiae Dilecta Prize to infrared sensor and core developer New Infrared Technologies Ltd.

Mr. Elías Fereres, President of the Royal Academy of Engineering, gave the award Academiae Dilecta 2016 to Mr. Arturo Baldasano Supervielle, President of the Board.The prize rewards national companies that demonstrate excellence in technological innovation and stimulate the country’s economy.

Elías Fereres, president of the Royal Academy of Engineering, presented the award to New Infrared Technologies’ Arturo Baldasano Supervielle, president of the board, citing development of a unique, world-class technology that allows the manufacturing of uncooled MWIR detectors and cameras; the completion of a pioneering engineering development with materials and devices for detectors and cameras for the MWIR; development of high-skilled products currently sold to more than 150 international customers; investment in R&D activities; and participation in multiple European Union projects.

New Infrared Technologies is a manufacturer of uncooled MWIR imaging arrays with high-speed capabilities.
