STOCKHOLM, March 26, 2025 — Optical sensing technology company Neonode has appointed Daniel Alexus as president and CEO, effective March 31. Alexus has served as global head of innovation and founder of Ericsson ONE, an innovation accelerator within Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, since 2018. He has held several other senior roles at Ericsson, where he started in 2010.

JENA, Germany — The supervisory board of Jenoptik AG has extended the contracts of Ralf Kuschnereit, responsible for the former Advanced Photonic Solutions division, and CFO Prisca Havranek-Kosicek, ahead of schedule by five years each until Dec. 31, 2030, and Feb. 28, 2031, respectively. Kuschnereit has been responsible for the Semiconductor & Advanced Manufacturing and the Biophotonics strategic business units created in connection with the Jenoptik Group’s new reporting structure that began at the start of 2025.

SEATTLE — NLM Photonics, a developer of hybrid organic electro-optic technology, has appointed Anthony Yu as a strategic advisor. Yu, former vice president of silicon photonics product management at GlobalFoundries, will work closely with NLM to establish an ecosystem of foundries, OSAT partners, and optical chip designers that will leverage NLM’s technology.

GARDNER, Mass. — Precision Optics Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of advanced optical instruments for medical, defense, and aerospace industries, added Joseph Pellegrino Jr. to its board of directors. Pellegrino, who will serve as chairman of the board’s audit committee, most recently served as CFO of LeMaitre Vascular from 2007 to March 2025, and continues to serve as a member of the company’s board of directors.

PORT MELBOURNE, Australia — Arkeus, a provider of autonomous optical systems for threat detection, has added Patrick McCann as director of business development for the United States. McCann has previous experience with unmanned aerial systems and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance technologies through his military career in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.
