Carl Zeiss has expanded its operations at Carl Zeiss Microscopy Ltd. in Cambridge, England. The expansion allowed the UK sales and service business Carl Zeiss Ltd. to relocate to Cambridge to consolidate as one larger Zeiss campus. The facility includes application laboratories for electron and light and microscopes as well as training facilities for surgical microscopes, medical diagnostic equipment, camera lenses, binoculars and scopes. “Customers from several of the Carl Zeiss business groups, including Microscopy, Medical Technology, Camera Lenses and Sports Optics, will be able to visit us in Cambridge, the hub for innovative technology, for product demonstrations and expert applications support in our new facilities,” said Paul Adderley, Carl Zeiss Ltd. managing director. High-voltage power supplies and systems manufacturer UltraVolt Inc. of Ronkonkoma, N.Y., has added Betronik Ltd. as its representative for Russia. Under the agreement, electronic components distributor Betronik will offer UltraVolt’s high-voltage modules, systems and test fixtures in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus for applications in lasers, photomultiplier tubes and test equipment. “Together we can supply and support a full line of high-quality and high-performance high-voltage power supplies for various applications,” said UltraVolt CEO and co-founder James Morrison.
