BOTHELL, Wash., July 29 -- Microvision Inc. announced it will collaborate with Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI) to combine SGI visual area network (VAN) computing capabilities with Microvision's high-performance retinal scanning displays, including its Nomad Personal Display System.
SGI and Microvision demonstrated the Nomad System connected to a Visual Area Network and SGI Onyx family visual supercomputer at the SIGGRAPH conference last week in San Antonio, Texas. The companies' said they expect to finalize a co-marketing agreement soon.
