LENGWIL, Switzerland, Dec. 1, 2020 — Microdiamant, a Swiss developer of diamond-based solutions and precision surface finishing, has acquired Eminess Technologies, a manufacturer of surface polishing technology. The new company will operate under the name Pureon.

The acquisition supports Microdiamant’s growth in the semiconductor industry, providing the company with single-source surface finishing solutions for compound semiconductors, as well as for optical, medical technology, and electronic components and devices. The merged company’s global headquarters will be in Lengwil, Switzerland, with all production sites for both Microdiamant and Eminess remaining in operation, including Eminess’ former headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Eminess management team will be retained to ensure a smooth transition, according to a Microdiamant press release.
