Micro Device Display Group Seeks Members

The Micro Device Display Consortium, founded recently to promote microdevice display projection (MDDP) TVs, has announced a call for industry members. Founding members are Arisawa Mfg. Co. Ltd., Seiko Epson Corp., Texas Instruments Inc. and Victor Co. of Japan Ltd. Supporting members are 3M Co., Luminus Devices Inc., Samsung Japan Corp. and SCRAM Technologies Inc. The consortium said it plans to sponsor product demonstrations and to prepare and distribute a pamphlet that summarizes features of MDDP. It will also launch a Web site offering MDDP products, information on devices from consortium member firms, news and other product information, and energy-efficient performance information and appliance catalogs.
