A supplier of solid-state photon-counting detector modules, Micro-Photon-Devices of Bolzano, Italy, has entered into exclusive distribution agreements with PicoQuant GmbH of Berlin, Optoelectronic Components of Montreal and Pitotech Co. Ltd. of Chang Hua City, Taiwan, for the European, North American and Taiwanese markets, respectively. With high quantum efficiency and ultrafast timing resolution, the detectors are suitable for single-molecule applications, such as fluorescence correlation spectroscopy or fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy.
