Micrel Names New Sales VP
Micrel Inc., a San Jose, Calif.-based company dealing in analog, high bandwidth communications and Ethernet IC solutions, announced that Christopher Dingley, director of Micrel's global account and western sales territory, has been promoted to the position of vice president, worldwide sales. Dingley has more than 22 years experience in the semiconductor industry. He joined the company in June 1997 as director of global distribution and was then named director of global distribution and EMS. He was then promoted to position of director of Micrel's western sales territory including global account responsibility for Cisco. Prior to joining Micrel, Dingley was distribution manager for Winbond North America. Before this, Dingley held the positions of area sales manager and distribution sales manager with General Instrument.
