Micralyne Inc., a microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) fabrication company based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, has announced that it will manufacture MEMS near-infrared devices for Polychromix, an inspection and analysis tool developer. The technology will be incorporated into Polychromix’s PhazirT line of handheld devices that perform both qualitative and quantitative materials analysis. It will be combined with digital transform spectroscopy for a variety of applications including recycling, raw materials inspection, agriculture analysis and forensics.
