To consolidate its product portfolio and enhance customer access to its optical engineering team, Melles Griot of Rochester, N.Y., has combined the OEM industrial optics segment of its Photonics Components Group, formerly in Carlsbad, Calif., with its Optics Group business unit in Rochester. The company will operate the units under a single management structure. The OEM optical component business is expected to benefit from Rochester's optical engineering history and manufacturing infrastructure.
