MKS Tweaks Company Name, Corporate Leadership
MKS Instruments, Inc. has dropped the “Instruments” portion of its name, and will now go by “MKS Inc.” According to CEO John T.C. Lee, the change better reflects the company’s scope of business, which is no longer limited to industrial instruments. The company will continue to trade under the "MKSI" ticker symbol.
MKS also announced that James Schreiner will conclude his tenure as leader of the Materials Solutions Division on Aug. 1 and will return to his role as executive vice president and COO of MKS. David Henry, the company’s current executive vice president of operations and corporate marketing, will assume the role of executive vice president of global strategic marketing, and general manager of the Materials Solutions Division, also effective Aug. 1.
