LioniX Appoints Ronald Dekker CTO
ENSCHEDE, The Netherlands, Jan. 22, 2024 — LioniX International, a designer and manufacturer of silicon nitride PICs, has appointed Ronald Dekker CTO. Dekker previously led the company’s Module and Assembly group, following the 2016 merger of LioniX BV, XiO Photonics BV, and SatraX BV. He previously served as CTO of XiO Photonics.

Dekker succeeds founding CTO René Heideman, who now serves as a strategic business developer for the company. Dekker’s previous experience also includes a stint as senior researcher at the University of Twente, working in integrated optics.
