Nichia Corp. of Anan City, Japan, a worldwide white LED provider, has established a cross-licensing and manufacturing partnership with Luminus Devices Inc. of Billerica, Mass., a large-chip solid-state light source manufacturer, and Seoul Semiconductor Co. of South Korea, an LED packaging and module manufacturer. The acquisitions will include intellectual property licenses, technology transfers and manufacturing deals to develop and distribute LED and laser diode technologies.
