LightWorks Optics Receives IFA Contract

TUSTIN, Calif., April 7, 2006 -- Integrated optical system maker LightWorks Optics Inc. announced it was awarded a $3.6 million contract by defense contractor Lockheed Martin of Bethesda, Md., for the fabrication of 28 infrared focus assemblies (IFAs) for fighter aircraft.

The company said this award is the second it has received from Lockheed Martin for these optical subsystems, having previously produced 43 IFAs for fighter aircraft.
