Laser Operations Signs New Distributors
SYLMAR, Calif., March 23, 2012 — Laser diode manufacturer Laser Operations LLC expanded its sales organization in Europe and the Asia-Pacific through two distribution agreements and the appointment of an in-house consultant, it announced.
Michael Wang was named in-house consultant for China in early February. Wang will be responsible for advising the company on business opportunities throughout China, and also for managing its local distributors.
Soliton GmbH was appointed in March as the company’s nonexclusive distributor for Germany, Austria, the German-speaking portion of Switzerland, and Poland. Soliton will focus on the company’s nonmedical market, while current distributor AMS Technologies will continue handling medical applications.
In March, Laser Operations appointed Indeco as its nonexclusive distributor in Japan. This partnership is the company’s latest expansion in the Asia-Pacific market. Products already are distributed in Singapore, Taiwan, Korea and China.
