Organized by Messe München and Messe München Shanghai Co. Ltd., in collaboration with the Chinese Optical Society-Laser Processing Committee (COS-LPC) and the China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG), the fair is expected to have close to 1000 exhibitors and attract over 60,000 professional visitors.

Founded in 2006, this trade show offers specific insights into Asian trends and markets. The show’s proximity to electronica China, Productronica China, and SEMICON China provides a unique opportunity for visitors to learn more about the latest technologies and applications in optics, photonics, and electronic technologies.

The exhibits will cover a range of topics pertaining to optical technologies, including lasers and optoelectronics, manufacturing technology for optics, sensors test and measurement, optical measurement systems, imaging, lasers and laser systems for production engineering, illumination and energy, and security.

Demonstrations and product displays will showcase the following: new standards in precision, quality, cost efficiency, and effectiveness of innovative beam sources and system components; the foundation of lasers and optical components; innovations in the rapidly growing photonics market with cost-cutting techniques and increased batch sizes; indispensable testing systems and light as the perfect measuring tool; important key technologies in imaging; lasers and laser systems as the driving forces behind innovations; photon-assisted data processing; new manufacturing techniques in photovoltaics; and modern safety technology made possible through optical technologies.

Machine Vision & IR Detection in Focus

The PHOTONICS CONGRESS CHINA, held at the same times as LASER World of PHOTONICS, will cover topics including laser processing, advanced lasers, optics, IR imaging, laser safety, and beam analysis. Other conferences to be held during the exhibition include the China International Machine Vision Technology & Application Conference, the Infrared Detection Technology and Application Frontier Forum, and the LIDAR Technology and Application Frontier Forum.

PHOTONICS CONGRESS CHINA will also feature the 14th International Laser Processing and Systems Conference; the Chinese Laser Market Summit 2019; the 14th National Conference on Laser Technology and Optoelectronics; Optical Made in China 2025, a workshop on the safety of industrial lasers and systems use; and other fiber laser and simulation software training.

The 14th International Laser Processing and Systems Conference (LPC 2019) will focus on topics including ultrafast laser technology and applications; laser monitoring system technology for welding, cutting, and machining; micro-nanotechnology and processing; 3D printing and surface modification; and new lasers and beam sources.

Keynote speakers at LPC 2019 will include Rajesh Patel, director of applications engineering at Spectra-Physics Lasers, who will give a keynote speech on laser micromachining; Dongdong Gu, vice dean of the College of Materials Science and Technology at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, who will deliver a keynote speech on laser-based additive manufacturing technologies; and Wong Chee How, associate dean of the College of Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, who will give a keynote speech on 3D printing’s past, present, and future.

LASER World of PHOTONICS CHINA 2019 offers the possibilities of “intelligent light,” a concept that integrates lasers, automation, machine vision, and a number of other sciences and technologies. It is applied in automobile, semiconductor, electronics, materials processing, aerospace and aviation, rail transport, home appliances, and other areas for its efficiency, precision, and cost reduction. The integration of multiple technologies enables intelligent light to break through the barriers of traditional manufacturing and bring new, unprecedented vitality to the modern manufacturing industry.

The trade fair is supported by Wuhan Society of Lasers, Hubei, Photonics Industry Development Association, Wuhan Laser Association of Optics Valley of China, Laser Institute of America, VDMA, OptecNet, the Competence Networks for Optical Technologies, and Taiwan Laser Technology Application Association.
