Kopin Wins Contract for Display Subsystems
Kopin Corp. of Taunton, Mass., has received a production contract from ITT Industries Night Vision of Roanoke, Va., for display subsystems to be used in the US Army’s enhanced night-vision goggle system. The system provides soldiers with images from an image intensifier and a thermal imager, improving mobility and situational awareness. The thermal scene appears on Kopin’s CyberDisplay supervideo graphics array microdisplay, while the subsystem optically combines the image with the output of the intensifier.
