Thomassian has 13 years in high-volume manufacturing systems design and development, most recently with Microfabrica, a high-tech microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) startup company, where she was responsible for the facility and equipment infrastructure required for development of the EFAB microdevice manufacturing process. In the mid 1990s, she was program manager at ATS-Oregon, where she managed the design, integration and profitability of system integration projects for the semiconductor, optics and liquid crystal-on-silicon industries. She began her career at Hewlett-Packard as a manufacturing development engineer in charge of the technology transfer of manufacturing lines to Asia and the implementation of ISO 9001 manufacturing process controls. Thomassian has an MBA from the University of Southern California and an MS in mechanical engineering from MIT. Her thesis work was on developing automated control algorithms for the 3-D printing rapid-prototyping process. She will be responsible for manufacturing development and production operations at ColorLink's Boulder facility.
